Oh man, the meals were out of this world! Seriously, the dinner was one of the best we had in Japan-meticulous and bursting with fresh flavors. And a private onsen on our balcony with fine mountain views was magical! The staff were super hospitable.

Quite comfortable stay, I will be back.
The location it offers is great, just off the nearest bus station, and the lake.

Absolutely shocked by the service at this hotel, after making it clear in advance, they didn't understand my dietary needs, serving fish after fish instead of vegetarian options. The room looked worn out, not worth the high price. As a guest, expected at least a welcome gift or some effort. What a disappointment!

Traditional hotel and easy and perfect location to the nearest bus stop. Really helpful and exceptionally attentive stuff, tidy rooms for the private onsen on the balcony, free Wi-Fi. Bonus point for a balcony, coffee, and a writing table. Excellant service, large breakfast spread.

While the fine location had its charms, the uphill walk from the bus stop was a challenge, especially after a long day exploring. The weather can impact the outdoor shower experience.

A Unique Stay with Room for Improvement
The open-air bath was a lovely touch after a long day of exploring. Be clear about dietary preferences beforehand, as my vegetarian requests were misunderstood. Prepare for the remote location and consider alternate transport options for convenience.

The amazing view from the private onsen added a serene touch to my experience. Meals were a highlight, with carefully crafted dishes that showcased local flavors, though the selection for non-fish eaters could be improved. A significant downside was the steep walk from the bus stop, challenging after a long day of exploring. Communication regarding dietary needs could be clearer to avoid misunderstandings.
